In the summer of 2015, Mayor James Bradford approached the bank about the Town of Jonesboro's growing water crisis.  The town had critical deficiencies regarding water infrastructure, and concern was mounting about how to fix its problems with limited resources.

"Safe water is not an option: it's a necessity"
-Chuck Allen

The bank donated $100,000 towards a water infrastructure renovation.  Because of this investment, the town of Jonesboro was able to correct all critical deficiencies without borrowing any money.

"Jonesboro State Bank has always led by example in giving back, but with Pledge 10, they have raised the bar in what it means to invest in one’s community. My desire is for their leadership to encourage others to give back to their community as well.  As the Mayor of Jonesboro, I am so very thankful to have Jonesboro State Bank as a member of our community and a partner in moving our town forward."
